Since my ariel blew off in a storm (GRRRR) I don't watch TV in the evenings BUT I do love, love, love "Murder, she wrote". I can even spot the murder-er before JB. Any hope that no TV would lead to a more bookish and cultured self hasn't quite taken off.

What else ..."Grand designs" is awesome too and I find It funny that nobody EVER listens to Sarah Beany in "Property Ladder" FOOLS.

of course as a child I watched a lot of tv but now mostly the NEWS specifically political NEWS is fun for me LOL

I dont think I have much interest in dramatic tv after Twin Peaks finished. Doubt there will ever be such a brilliant show on tv in the near future...

As for comedy I would go with a few already listed such as South Park, SBSP, Reno 9-11, (and more politics) The Daily Show (Jon Stewart), The Colbert Report (Stephen Colbert). Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

...havent watched much of any of those above in a few months...

My favourite TV show was The Colbys, a spin off from Dynasty.
This American soap had everything, good guys bad guys, space ships, little
green men from planet Zog, the Loch Ness Monster and Lord Lucan and lots
of gay guys.
Okay so am exaggerating, no gay guys, but when Stephanie Beacham throws
that fur coat at the opening credits, oh boy.

On the LOGO channel I like, "Beautiful People, and Queer as Folk. On BBC America I like Graham Norton, he rocks, and Being Human is very sexy. Of course I like Dr. Who and various other sci-fi shows. If you have not yet seen it the movie on LOGO "were the world mine" is awsome.

I own 'Were the world mine' on DVD and it is seriously one of my favorite movies. The story is so touching and I love the shakespeare woven through it.

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:23 am
me too libertylove4 and i was curious. Who do you think Mrs. Tibbet really was? I am guessing a fairy.

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 04:28 am
Yeah I thought a fairy or maybe some sort of good witch. What I do know is that I would have killed to have her as my teacher in high school.

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:38 am
at the end of the movie when she turns to the camera with the purple pansey and asked "whos next" I shouted ME!ME!

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 04:42 am
And Tanner Cohen, the guy who played Timothy, was so good in that part. He was hot too. My favorite part is when Jonathon kisses him at the end and says "I feel like myself." I squealed like a fangirl I was so happy. The music was also phenomenal for a low budget film.

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:45 am
i started to cry at that point. it was the happy ending most gay films seem to be lacking. the hero gets the boy.

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 04:48 am
Oh I know, so many gay films have such sad/sucky endings. I like to see one with a happy/touching end for once. I know some people say that happy endings are unrealistic, but I watch movies to escape reality so a happy ending is fine by me.

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:50 am
you are so right, i miss the old days of hollywood when the story was complete at the end. Heros get the girl, bad guys get their just deserts, and all was well with the world. Most movies today suck

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:52 am
liberty i need to sleep now but send me a message if you have any suggestions for good movies. you are on my friends list, have a good night:biggrin:

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 04:55 am
Yeah that's my gripe with todays movies. Like, so many of my friends say they loved Brokeback Mountain, but I hated it. the story was so fucking sad I need a razor blade. The sex scene was completely unrealistic (These straight girl friends of mine thought it was beautiful, I was horrified "It doesn't work that way! Jake Gyllenhaal will never walk again." So yeah that's why I like old movies, they wrap up the story and make you feel good when you're done.

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 04:56 am
Good night SeaOz, sleep tight

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:57 am
lol you are the first gay man i have met to admit he did not like broke back mountain, be careful the may take away your pink club card =D
but you are right the sex was more like a prison rape than a romantic encounter

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 04:58 am
i will try thanks ;)

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 05:01 am
Yeah, I've gotten some flack for not like BB Mountain. I remember at my GLBT club meeting I said it, and you would've thought I said I wanted to blow Dick Cheney. But I love the Rocky Horror Picture Show so I think that restores my gay membership :)

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 05:06 am
you are a very humorous man with a quick wit, refreshing for one so young. You give me hope for mankind's future. =)

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 05:13 am
Thank you, I'm flattered. But even the youth around me give me pause, especially when I see some of the kids I went to high school with pregnant, some with their second child. All I want to say is "was a condom and the pill that hard?" Makes me glad I'm gay, nothing to impregnate :)

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 05:16 am
children are carriers of stress and it has been proven that stress can kill you so children should be outlawed as bad for your health, or at least people who insist on having them should be taxed heavly.

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 05:21 am
Sounds good to me, we could save the economy with the tax money alone. Some people think I'm shallow for not wanting kids. It doesn't mean I don't want a long term relationship, it's just that I don't feel the need or the desire to breed.

SeaOz
25th October 2009, 05:25 am
children require so much time and attention that the reward for raising one seems too small compared to the effort. also they seem to complicate the relationship too much. I simply want someone who loves me and will allow me to love them. children will only make that goal harder to reach.

libertylove4
25th October 2009, 05:27 am

I've been told that I seem older than I actually am, but I am 19. Born Oct. 1, 1990 at 1:45 pm. I'm an only child and didn't really hang around other kids when I was younger. I found the adults more interesting and also spent most of my formative years with my grandmother. She is a spitfire if there ever was one and my personality reflects her's a lot.
