Thank you for this thread, it's nice to see some posts of some music I really care about.

I've heard a few songs/bands that have really changed the way I listen to music or opened up a new world of music. I'll try to put some of my favourites in chronological order of when I heard them.

Queen
Nirvana
Bob Dylan
B.B.King
Led Zeppelin
Pink Floyd
Tim Rose (I supported him in Sheffield and watching him taught me a lot about musicianship and he was an awesome presence)

Also, I got the same feeling as I got listening to Pink Floyd, Dark Side of the Moon, when I heard my friend's recording of her song, Pipeline. (cheeky plug but great song) ;)

But they still find a way to just be with each other. It's weird, but it works. But most straight men are okay with lesbians. So that is how they do what they do maybe. Cast of Cheers and Howler at some club in London called... Koko or Coco or something... didn't like Howler at all, Cast of Cheers had one good song but the keyboard guy was pretty cool so atleast I had something to hang onto!

I kinda agree. I did kinda like the song and it's spacey vibe but when I heard that they were going for a synth-heavy electronica sound on this new CD influenced by Aphex Twin (I checked them out and didn't think much of their stuff) I was a little disappointed. I'll definitely give their new CD (coming out next month) a chance but my expectations aren't that high. I appreciate as artists they want to experiment and try new directions but I kinda wish Andrew and Ben would return to their roots a little more.
