Times Square is my favorite place in New York City. I love those big lights. The Great White Way is such an awesome place. I was there a year ago. I went to a concert there. It was pretty damn cool.

Awkward night with my brother

Alright I�m hanging with my brother tonight, we�re just sitting around playing Playstation an he won�t stop calling me a faggot. Seriously I heard the word fag about 47 times tonight, at one point tonight he was flipping around the TV an for some reason he stopped on So You Think You Dance Canada. An every male dancer that was introduced my brother was like wow that guys a faggot. I�m setting there like 2 feet from him in my chair feeling all tight chested an awkward.

I would also like to add that the use of the word faggot isn�t out of the norm for my brother he�s pretty lose and free flowing his faggots, an it never really bothered me. I guess I�m just feeling a little hyper sensitive tonight or something.

Anyway my crazed rant is over.:whew:

Why are poppers so appealing to gay men?

Hey guys its my first post here so i just wanted to open up a wide topic on poppers.

I have recently started going on the scene as i have just came out! it seems like a lot of gay men are attracted to sniffing poppers? all the clubs and pubs i go into stink of them.

I decided to try some out to see what all the fuss was about, but found it hard to find them on-line. Finally i found a store (believe it or not on facebook) and ordered something called TNT from the-poppers.co.uk

I received my package the next day and tried it out, I got a bit of a head rush and a stiffer erection but it gave me a little bit of a sore head afterwards.

So what is the attraction to poppers from the gay community?

I would appreciate some comments!

I'm actually straght. But I would really apreciate if you guys could let me know your opinion about the case below.
4 days ago I met a young couple (man and woman) in a club. We went to my hotel room later, for some more drinks. Then me and the girl started extensive kissing. And the man appeared to be gay. He was trying to approach me all the time despite my NO. After some time, when I was naked in bed with the girl, I noted that the guy, also naked came to me from behind. And I felt his penis on my butt and back. When I realised that, I pushed him away again and asked not to do that anymore.
I have to say that we all were extremely drunk. And from that night I have a lot of gaps in my memory. To ilustrate that. Next day someone told me that we had a telephone conversation. And I denied that, because I didn't remember even having the phone call. But when I checked my phone, yes, it was there.
And all that makes me really worried. Especially those blackouts in my memory. What if the guy did penetrate me and I didn't realise that, because I was drunk? And he didn't have any condom for sure.
To my memory, we all didn't have any sex at all.
So, as I have no gay experience in my life, my question is. Would I feel penetration even completely drunk? And would I feel some pain or something next day in my butt?
Of course, I feel terribly bad and shame about all that..

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

A post regarding winter (thanks Fenris) prompted me to post this...

So, does anyone here suffer from SAD? By that I mean people who have the actual condition as diagnosed by a doctor. I suffer from SAD and it is something of a misunderstood condition by many who do not suffer from it.

People have often said to me 'well we all feel a bit less cheerful in the winter' - I would gladly swap places with these people so they could see the difference!

I also find many well intentioned people offering advice, like if you take this vitamin, or that natural remedy or go for a walk that will cure the problem. I do use some natural treatments and exercise however the only thing that eases the problem is medication and light therapy. Nothing (so far) has ever caused me to be symptom free.

So, any other SAD sufferers here, or should I go sit in the corner on my own :astrosmiley2:

The days are getting shorter, Orion is back in the sky in the north of Europe, the last day of the roses, autumn is here .....
What are you doing to live this days without depression, colds, and cold feet to make it as pleasant as possible?

For me, there is still much to prepare for the winter. The apples must be down, elderberry syrup must be cooked, jams must be cooked ... Rose hips have to be dried. In the garden I have not much todo this year because its devastated by the pigs .... The sty must be winterized.
Candles need to be buyed ... , Visits must be planned, the old stories are being told, the holidays have to be prepared. The geese must be guarded until yule, midwinter ... or better "christmas", so they are not stolen by the carnivore neighbors :smile:

Bath against cold:
250 g salt, 200 g of sage

Winter Tea:
2 handful of raspberry leaves,
A handful of elder flowers
A handful of dried rose hips

2 teaspoons to 1 cup water

Mulled
1 liter of red wine
2 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Lemon peel
Orange peel
Sugar, vanillasugar

just get hot, do not boil

Dampfnudeln

1000 g flour
450 ml milk
150 g sugar
1 cube of yeast
salt

Blueberry jam

Prepare yeast dough, form medium balls, fill with jam (2 teaspoon)
Cook 20 minutes in steam over boiling water - not boil in water!.
Serve with vanilla sauce

The "Aha!" Moment

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but no other section really fit lol.

Anywho, so the majority of the gay community will usually say, "I've always known I was gay/Bi/a Lesbian, even when I was little." But what about those that weren't? Those that were straight, knew they were straight, and never doubted or questioned it. And then, after a certain event or encounter or what have you, you suddenly developed or discovered this new side to yourself that you never knew existed.

I've heard it called a lot of things. The "Aha" moment, discovering yourself, finding the real you (which I don't necessarily like cause that implies that your former "self" wasn't real), and a number of other phrases. Either way, the person is now living life with this new found sexuality and doesn't always know how to deal with it. They can't say well I've always been like this, but they can't say they chose it either since of the time folks in this situation have fought it tooth and nail before finally accepting it and the fact that they can't just "Wish it away" or stop.

I myself went through this, only recently coming out to myself after almost 4 years of denial and still in the process of coming out to my friends and family. Has anyone else experienced this or have any thoughts on it?
