I get that every now and then, especially when I first get up in the morning and feel all vertigo/dizzy-ish for like a minute. I'm told its most likely from some spine pain from lifting incorrectly or sleeping wrong. I don't know how that works, but its what I'm told.

Spine = Central Nervous System, it does make sense, and it could be something as simple as that causing the symptoms, but without a doctor there is no way to rule something sinister out.

Doctors appoitnment, especially if it is a recurring problem.

Sounds odd.

I was born with one of my eyes having weak sight[not technically blind], although, through some odd circumstances I'm able to move that eye, so that things come into focus or not.

Sounds freaky but true. But If I hold it for too long I can get a slight ache, although it's much easier than when I was a child.

Maybe the muscles behind your eyes just get too tense because they aren't as strong as they were before and you get headaches from trying to keep the muscles tense. Not sure about the blackouts, that should be checked out, but it could just be fatigue of the eye causing your headaches.

Also, even though you love the Camera, perhaps that could also be a contributing factor, because of it's lenses, which can mess with your eyes abit, especially if they're weak.

But yeah, an Eye-Doctor would know best . Good luck! I know how important eyesight is, especially for a Photographer.

If you see an Animal in distress, please don't ignore it, because what if that was you? Even if you don't like them or respect them, atleast show mercy and empathy.

It could be something to do with fatigue, but I would strongly advise seeing the doctor about it. It's not a good sign. Please let us know what it is, when you find out... And hopefully it's nothing shockingly wrong.

Midget, it's great news since it means there's nothing too much wrong with you. Trying to focus when you're shortsighted can really make you strain more than you think, hence the aches.

Thanks for taking the time to read my rather odd thread/post and well... for replying to it really, I'm glad that I got some answer at least, it's not too bad right now it seems to have subsided (without the glasses) but the headaches still crop up after an hour or two of reading or being at the PC so heres hoping they help somewhat, and no mrk2010 :P didn't get clark kent glasses hahaha, the last time i went to an optician it put me off somewhat because of the service i got, but this time round it was a completely different story, the optician woman was really friendly, helpful, polite and took a huge interest in my photography and even wants my number/email for future events she's running to market her shop and for clients she knows who have upcoming weddings - swapped FB pages and contact details

After that, then went to try on some glasses and well.. what a bother that was trying to find a pair that fitted my face right, the half frames were really nice but didn't come small enough so i've just opted for a sleek black framed pair that fit, are comfortable and aren't too extortionate, she did actually suggest the "80's" or as you put it "clark kent" style glasses since they're making a comeback but they looked ridiculous on me haha

That's good news that you only need glasses. It took me ages to choose mine last time I was at the opticians. Are you short or long sighted?

Haha.. funny thing is I can't actually remember, but I struggle more with reading things in a distance but then.. when at a pc/book or so which is usually quite close, my eyes get a tad fuzzy/blurry and I end up with a big time headache from straining them trying to focus
