Two images of European Pride
On Saturday afternoon, 300 marchers in the first Croatian pride to be held in Split were being besieged by a crowd of 10,000 protesters, who eventually brought Split Pride to an end. Europe still has its dark places. [Only registered members can see links. ]
Meanwhile a universe away at Oxford Pride the police were marching under their own banner in the parade.  |

10,000 is a very large figure for a counter-protest. If accurate I doubt the police would have been prepared for such a number.
