Congratulations, Avid.... So please dish the dirt... Who got on their knees and popped the question? Was this done in a formal way or a party way, or did it just pop up in conversation?

I must say I am thrilled for you both. Quite looking forward to my own wedding some day... Hope France follows suit with the UK soon.

Thanks everyone!

As far as the wedding...if you want to call it a "wedding"...we've been talking about it for a while but I was the first to bring it up. It might not sound all that romantic but the biggest reason we are tying the knot is to protect our estates from some dodgy relations on both sides.

Of course, I love him more than I can say and he does me and we are definitely doing it for love as well. It's going to be a town hall, justice of the peace wedding and my daughter is giving me away! She's the most important person in my life and it effects her the most and she asked if she could be my "maid of honor". She's 10 years old and the light of my life. My partner and her get along super well and I couldn't ask for more! He's kind of a grandfather figure to her since her biological grandfathers are both total duds.

Again, thank you all for chiming in and I'm glad I shared my news with you all.
