A Word To The People
#1
We are a generation ruled by conformity
Conform to hate the commercial, pop music, and unity
We hate the gays, the blacks, the atheists, and famous
We discriminate in Congress and hate whatever ain't us
Why can't we live in peace? All be friends together?
If we could learn to love more than ourselves we would be better
We are a twisted world ignoring the fate of Darfur
We watch our mother drink and learn to whore around from our father

Let's live for a while take a chance and talk to someone different
Make a friend of a different lifestyle, find a cause, make a commitment
How hard can it be to look around and see all as people
We are the youth of a new world, diverse but completely equal
The beat of a new heart let's pump peace into this world
From Derbyshire to Nicaragua, Tokyo to Lourdes
From LA to Ontario let freedom soar and peace be known
I dream the dream of righteousness and peace in every home
The soldiers fight with guns but let the poets rise and fight
Convince the world as one that equality is right

I will take the fall if you will take the plunge
Lock your lips with Understanding's and lead Hatred to be hung

Nice. Hope that fire keeps burning.

I can't imagine a society where gays are hated. From where I come from, and where I am, gays are surely looked as being different, but not hated.

May be ignored, separated, even classed, but not hated.
