A small request for my fellow Brits

As it stands gay and bisexual men in the UK can't donate blood if they've had sex in the last 12months.
This is blatantly insane especially since we currently have a blood shortage.

At the moment there is a change.org petition by the "freedom to donate campaign" that is really taking off. It already has 21,000 signatures and it's supported by doctors and SNP MP Stewart McDonald.

So could you sign it please?
