ok - maybe just because I'm a fan or maybe just the mood I've been in - but I think these lyrics are great

It's a dark road
And a dark way that leads to my house
And the word says
You're never gonna find me there, oh no
I've got an open door
It didn't get there by itself
It didn't get there by itself

There's a feeling
But you're not feeling it at all
There's a meaning
But you're not listening any more
I look at that open road
I'm gonna walk there by myself

And if you catch me I might try to run away
You know I can't be here too long
And if you let me I might try to make you stay
Seems you never realize a good thing till it's gone

Maybe I'm still searching but I don't know what it means
All the fires of destruction are still burning in my dreams
There's no water that can wash away this longing to come clean

I can't find joy within in my soul
It's just sadness taking hold
I wanna come in from the cold
And make myself renewed again
It takes strength to live this way
The same old madness everyday
I want to kick these blues away
I want to learn to live again

It's a dark road
And a dark way that leads to my house
And the word says
That you're never gonna find me there oh no
I've got an open door
It didn't get there by itself
It didn't get there by itself

I do too - first time I heard the song was when I got an e-mail advising me that I could view the music video for the track online, which I thought was a rather novel way of announcing it, so I checked it out, and whammo !

LOVE that track.

I actually have a copy of "Love Song for a Vampire" on single, which was quite hard to come by over here at least ... it's one of those tracks that isn't TOO widespread of hers ... but I love it tooooooooooo Confusedmile:

Thanks for the heads up.

I've just tracked this one down on Youtube. I'm glad it's a great track; she had a lot to live up to after Pavement Cracks, Why, and all of the rest.

Does anyone have her new album? Is it worth buying?
