Australian slang.....
#1
Ok, I love my Home and Away, but some of them I just cannot understand.

For instance, Australians. Heavy accents for one thing.
Of course there is a lot of things they make fun of that Ive never heard about, so I dont get it...like some guy named Alf Stewart. Apparently the audience thought it was hysterical, but meant nothing to me.

And then there's the Australian slang.

What do these terms mean? I figured out a lot of them, but these I cant figure out-

The "Dingo ate me baby"
"gid'aaay"
"Dingo's in the pool again"
"mate"

And kangaroos your nose with your finger.

Anybody know if there is a Australian slang dictionary out there online?

(Also auzzies cannot pronounce the letter 'L' very well)

Oh yeah, just been looking him up. Theres a good u-tube vid of someone who interupts garret in an interview, i think garret then says "it takes shit to know shit" (haha!) Then this guy pushes garret and garret lays him out in 2 punches and runs away lol. I think its genuine though im not sure.
