Christian Right Threatens to Leave GOP

Bowyn Aerrow Wrote:US politics is a two party system. Demon~crates and Repug~lie~can'ts. Or whatever they are called.

Third party people have no real power, forget getting a third party president, it has only happened twice in US history, George Washington (first president) and Millard Fillmore (1850-1853) of the Whig Party.

George was a shoe in because there really wasn't two distinct parties at the birth of the nation. Fillmore was only the last of a traditional party (Whig) which was replaced by the Republican Party.

As for Senate and Representative seats, These are far and few between, Senate: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_party...ted_States

Representatives: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_party...sentatives

As a third party person, I am constantly forced to vote either Republican or Democrat simply because if I vote for a person of my party or another third party its like taking my ballot, shredding it, composting it and turning it into the soil. Worse, in some elections a third party candidates votes can be used to get the wrong guy into office, or the guy who you really don't want in office.

The real power is held by just two parties in the USA. Democrats and Republicans. If you want to have any real say, or have at least 50% chance of getting members into office you have to push yourself into either of these parties.

Americans are pretty deluded they have bought into the whole two party system, the majority flat refuse to entertain a third party for themselves.

Christians are a pretty conservative crowd (in public, we won't talk about all the sinning they do) so they fall into the group called 'conservative' Which is Republican.

Although Jesus was a Liberal and a Socialist, the Modern Christians can't stand for liberalism nor socialism... Go figure.

I used to spend a lot of time debating US politics(online, no serious stuff), so there's no need to explain.

I still continue to promote the idea of voting third party and introducing voting systems without the spoiler effect(and ergo doesn't promote a two party system).

A lot of people's views seem to fit more with libertarian, green, and constitution parties policies than the actual parties they vote for, which is a sad failure of democracy really.

I really don't think it will happen. If god leaves the Republican Party he will take at least some voters with him. This would Put republicans at a big disadvantage, elections in n America are typically won by like a 3% margin.

Shame on you.

First of all I just wanted to say LOL! to that.
And 2nd of all I wanted to say PERSECUTE THE CHRISTIANS. Well not actually but maybe the church for neglecting their duty of helping people. For people with so much money there are still too many people who go hungry.

And 3rd WOOOOOOO GAYNESS WILL WIN!
And 4th this happened while I was alive. Good time to be alive to view the 1st world changing to where it's suppose to be. But don't let them cloud your vision with something nice. Government still has alot to do before we are in the green.

And 5th Love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love love you all Wink
