I read all of the Nancy Drew series one summer, years ago. Pretty damned good.

Did you know there has been no one author who has written Nancy Drew? Nancy Drew has been written by many authors, some under the same pseudonym.

I have a really fond spot for David Eddings' Belgariad and Elenium. They are a bit cliched compared to more modern fantasy but I find he has a really easy writing style, his world is very rich and his characters heartwarming. I strongly recommend if you like the epic fantasy genre.
