Yeah I think so too. But my most beloved Björk album will always be Homogenic :3

Big Grin that and Post are the two albums I don't own!

I think my favourite is and always will be Vespertine.

A great movie, but not a musical, except for that Simpsons version.

This is from the most recent live musical performance I've seen, though Gilbert and Sullivan is not quite a musical. It was pretty good as far as amateur Gilbert and Sullivan goes haha.

I have no idea what Lars did to her exactly but it must have been awful. I remember she looked pretty p********** at Cannes and completely unimpressed when he said that he loved her.

I just watched Dancer in the Dark because this thread brought it up. I liked it! When Selma kept saying "it's so quiet here" I was expecting a musical number with 'It's Oh so Quiet' from Post which didn't happen... kind of disappointed me. Although then again it would have been pretty out of place.

Oh well. I doubt Trier was the only awful one. I mean I love Björk but she seems like a person who can let her eccentricities get in the way of her professionalism. Which is pretty charming in a way. Although as a director, anyone running away for 3 days with no notice would probably be let go of straight away.

these are all very good:
-Book of Mormon
-Kinky Boots
-Matilda

i thought the Nance was overly sad but its an accurate portrayal of lgbt life in the 1930's ?

Stella Stella, can't ya hear me yell-ah. Stella -STELL-AAAH!

Could not help myself.
I agree about Dancer in the Dark and just mentioned it in another thread. Make sure you have tissues at the ready and don't plan on going anywhere right after because your face will be a disaster.

Stephen Sondheim's "A Little Night Music" is musically wonderful, the words are clever and witty. It is to my mind, the perfect combination of words and music. The waltz theme is almost impossible to get out of your mind and everyone knows "Bring in the clowns".
