A step towards legalizing Gay Marriage
#1
There is a hidden bill that was Passes in February which needs only 2,500 signatures (which can be done online) to be passed. It is called the "uniting American Families act" This act makes the Federal government recognize gay partnerships in the U.S. where one of the partners is from another country. Unfortunately it isn't marriage recognition nor is it a partnership recognition between 2 US citizens but it is a same sex partnership recognition that is recognized by the federal government giving us more momentum in that direction and a new argument to give if this bill is passed. Yes the system is backwards but we need to grab opportunity as it comes.

If you wish to see the details with videos and sign the petition along with other hidden petitions please go to change.org

For the one I encourage concerning the uniting American Families act, go to change.org and in the top right corner type in "uniting American Families act" You will see 2 women holding each other on the top with the title but scroll down to actions and under actions you will see the same title with "gay rights" beneath it. Click on it and check it out and please sign the petition.....and the other ones in the gay rights section. You have to register but it takes a few minutes and it will get you involved in the changes taking place.

Right now there are involvement opportunities for the employment non-discrimination act, and other stepping stones to equality. It costs nothing but a few minutes of your time to sign the petitions.

Thank you everyone!
