Homophobes most aroused by gay porn
#1
... but then we suspected that all along didn't we!

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8772014

A sample of men were classified according to the degree of their antipathy to homosexuality and subjected to gay male, lesbian and straight porn. The homophobes displayed arousal to the gay male porn while the non-homophobes displayed no arousal.

This study isnt a big suprise to me. I know when i was in the closet i was pretty anti-gay. I came from a conservative christian background i had my first same sex experience when i was 5. Once I hit puberty I experimented secretly by sleeping with a good guy friend in highschool for a few years. I ran back into the closet due to relidgous reasons when I was 18 and didnt come back out till I was 28.

During the ten years I was in the closet I was very homophobic. I took a very conservative stance on being Gay. Gay sex was wrong and gay marriage had no place in america. I would quote the bible and voice my opinion when given a chance too. I was more or less trying to pray the gay away. Any bible thumping against gays reinforced my anti gay views and was suppose to help me keep my own gay feelings in check.

All this homophobia I was propagating came back to bite me in my ass last summer once I came back out of the closet. I fell into a deep dark depression that last three months and I almost killed myself because I hated being gay so much.

It just explains why they feel it necessary to make gay sex illegal.

Ben, you should read The Velvet Rage.... I'm reading it at the moment. What you describe here is what this book is about. Unfortunately, this world leaves us really inadequate to deal with these feelings.

Hm, this makes the "A gay presence would make others gay!!1!" argument make a whole lot more sense, it turns it into a temptation sort of thing.

I m sure they did cause 99% of homophobes are gays in the closet. They just fear to admit it to themselves.
