Hi there and welcome! Yes, coming out to yourself is the first step, so congratulations are in order! That's the hardest part for a lot of folks. Like others have said, take it slow. If you have a LGBT community center near you (seeing your from Chi-town, that's a definite), go see if there are any groups that meet regularly that you can hang out with. I wouldn't recommend going to bars at first, they can be a bit initimidating to newbies coming out for the first time. Take it slow. Go to the centers, set up a profile on a dating website, post to websites like this one. It'll help you self-actualize your true nature (don't fight it, go with it, and see how beautiful it can be) and build your confidence when dating and going out with other men for the first time.
