Thank you all for the great advice, prayers and love.

Terry is doing much better , they did not have to reset his breathing for the last 12 hours.
His oxygen levels are still low , they plan to keep him on oxygen for the next 24 hour.

He is alert and raising hell , he wants his smokes , and that just is not going to happen while he is in ICU.

I spoke to his specialist yesterday ,we have come to an agreement, under no circumstances will he prescribe Oxycontin or Valium to Terry ,the same goes with the family doctor.

All script will be faxed to the pharmacist and be marked "Only to be filled at that pharmacy".
James and Ben who work there are going to keep an eye on things.
A copy of the script will be sent to Dr. Sam for his records.

As soon as Terry's oxygen levels are up on their own , he will be moved to a private hospital , where they are going to take him off all medication and reassess him , in a controlled environment.

Hopefully this will work ,naturally his breathing medication( Spiriva, Ventolin and Symbicort) will not be touched ,not sure however about the corticosteroids.

Honestly , some of his medication is ancient and needs updating.
I will keep you updated as things progress.

Mum, go be with your boys, yes you are missed on Gayspeak but family first Wink

I am glad that Terry is improving and my thoughts will be with you and your family and hoping for an improved outcome for Terry.

There is too much 'Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing' that should not exists in this digital age and I know you will get results in your quest.

Positive update.

Thank you all so much for your prayers, energy and thoughts.
It worked he is better.

Terry's oxygen levels are at 91 which is pretty good for someone that has his condition.
He was moved to a regular ward overnight, and be released tomorrow.

Just in time for our 30th anniversary,I am going to take him out to celebrate before moving him to the private hospital Saturday morning.

He is raising hell over there at the moment , wanting his cigarettes.
I will make sure I bring them with me tomorrow when I pick him up.( not that I like him smoking ,but he is a big boy.)

I am sure the nurses will be throwing a party when he leaves
I remember when I was nursing we always celebrated when a difficult patient went home.
Getting them a huge box of chocolates as thanks.Confusedmile:
