Positive Politics
#11
When I was a resident of Michigan, I contacted both Senator Levin and Senator Stabenow. Levin contacted me. Stabenow did not. I have contacted politicians that were not my own and received form letter replies that dealt with the subject in a general matter, the same letter likely sent to hundreds of people. I was impressed with Senator Levin's letter because it was one written just for me and addressed the concerns of my letter, not just a general reply. Since being a resident of California, I have never contacted anyone that represents me.

In the 2016 presidential race, I am supporting Jill Stein of the Green party. Yes, I know she has no chance of winning and I will admit part of it might be that in California I am in a state safe from electing the Republican candidate, but it feels good to not base my vote on which candidate is the least bad of the two main choices.
