Sexual attraction to girls...
#1
So I'm just curious. It was quite easy for me to "know" that I was gay (even through the many years of denying it) because I have never been sexually attracted to women. I even attempted to force myself to watch women solo porn but it does absolutely nothing for me but grosses me out. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll get a mild case of dick-butterflies from watching a Beyonce music video, but that's all. And I am EXTREMELY attracted to guys (one time I got so hard and horny just from a hot guy just walking past me, probably the most embarrassing moment of my life). I knew I could never be celibate so I eventually had to come out some time. How common is this?...

what are you asking? how common sexual attraction to girls is for gay guys? i don't understand how this could even be a question. if a guy is attracted to both, men and women, he is bisexual. being gay means you are attracted to men only.

i always knew i liked guys too. there was never any confusion. frankly, i don't even understand how it is possible to be confused on this. never denied it, never tried to change or be anything else. i've embraced it from the beginning. i love that i love men. wouldn't change it if i could.

it's normal to get hot and hard for a guy. this is how it's supposed to work. i'd be worrying if it didn't happen.

I'm not sure what you're asking either here.

I feel no sexual attraction at all to females.

And I feel no need to have any sexual feelings for females.

I am a platinum card homo.

But I understand that on the spectrum of sexuality, some homos may find some women sexually attractive.

Actual sexual attraction to females? Nope, never. That didn't stop me from dating a couple of girls as a teen before my identity had completely gelled in my mind, though. Admiration of female beauty? Yes. I think women are beautiful in an esthetic sense, but my heart and body want what they want, and that's a man.

If you haven't already, OP, you might want to check out the Kinsey sexual scale. I think quite a few people probably fall in between the two extremes somewhere.

In the strictest technical sense, I am bisexual. However, after having been married to a woman for 5 years, I came to the realization that I NEVER want to be in a relationship with another one. So, I now choose to identify as Gay so as to avoid confusion and also because I do not intend to ever date again as I love my husband.
I have no idea if that answered your question, because your question wasn't exactly clear to me in the first place.

that most people are bisexual is a myth.

it may be true that most people have had sexual experience with both sexes during their life, but sexual experience does not equal sexual orientation. it's critical to differentiate between the two.

i'm gay. never been with women, don't want to. zero attraction there.

My personal theory is that what defines your orientation is you attraction, not your experiences. So it doesn't matter if you had experiences with women, if you had no attraction there, that doesn't make you straight or bissexual... in my opinion, of course.

Like you I have never been with a woman, and I have no attraction for them (sometimes I wish I had). I forced myself to watch solo female porn too, but also did nothing for me. Then I lied to myself, saying that I was attracted to guys but I was in love with girls, so I would always have that close friend who i thought I was in love with, but it was only a close friendship, cause I didn't know what being in love was.

So I guess.. at least for males, being "at the end of the spectrum" is more common (some people argue that women have more bisexual tendencies than men), although because of all the denial process most of us go through, many guys stay under the impression they have attraction for girls too. At least that's my view on the facts.

My sexual attraction to women isn't zero. I watched some straight porn growing up, and it worked to some degree. But my reaction towards guys is so much stronger that the attraction to women nearly vanishes by comparison. I'd probably be in the 5.8 range on the old Kinsey scale. I figure it's easier to just say "gay". Some guys have a problem with it - one in fact called me a "liar" for using the term gay for myself, and said I "ruined his gold-star status". But I think it's just easier to use the one-syllable word.

I find that each person's "spot" on the spectrum occasionally shifts.
