dude I have a 3 foot wide by 25 feet log bed of Stevia and I don't even like sweets... but why the hell people pay money for sugar really creeps me out.

I have a bad reaction to any of the artificial sweeteners...and even worse reaction to any kind of fake butter.
The bad information out there will tell you how beneficial the fake butter is ...they have brainwashed all of us. Same thing with artificial sweeteners.

generally i was always taught the more natural the better when it comes to food and drink, and avoid sweeteners like the plague.

There's a coffee bar in my town that only serves natural sweeteners. Poor unsuspecting addicted tourists order their coffees, go over to the milk and sweetener section, and freak out. They can't fathom why an establishment would refuse to provide them with synthetic chemicals to put in their drinks.
