And there is another line of thinking that argues the electorate feels that way because there is TOO LITTLE difference between the two dominant oligarchies.

They conspire to effectively subvert any new parties.

Real reform is stymied. The national health care reform is a perfect example. Instead of actually getting universal coverage, the initiative was hijacked and the insurance and medical industries made out as if they were the too-big-to-fail robber bankers. Bastards.

Ah! Easier? Easier for who? Those who govern? The men who designed the US government were smart and gave us a system that -- if left intact -- made it difficult for power to be consolidated in the hands of few or even one. From their knowledge of European history and politics they knew that a centralized government was the biggest danger to liberty and individual rights.

The idea of making governing "easy" is contrary to protecting liberty and individual rights. The less government sticks their nose in my business the better for me and for government.

Hold on... let me insert some facts in this before you go on blaming the wrong people.

Who wrote the Affordable Care Act?
Joel Rogers and the Apollo Alliance. Ever heard of them? They also wrote the TWO stimulus bills. The Affordable Care Act was written before Obama was even elect. So were the stimulus bills. That's how parts of the Affordable Care Act were stuck in the enormous Stimulus bills that no one had time to read... Things like hiring 15,000 new IRS agents to administer ACA.... (IRS agents administering health care????)

Joel Rogers is a University of Wisconsin professor, union organizer, socialist, co-founder of the defunct "New Party" a short lived socialist party that endorsed Obama during his bid for the Illinois Senate before it disbanded and had most of it's leaders absorbed into the behind the scenes hierarchy of the Democratic Party. How do you suppose Joel Rogers and the Apollo Alliance got the job of writing the stimulus bills and the ACA laws?

If you want to blame anyone for the way ACA unfolded to be a total cluster-fuck full of all sorts of great lies told to the people who are going to be stuck with it while making the practice of medicine more difficult and constricted by bureaucratic red tape while making insurance companies rich and the federal government even bigger.... blame the right people....

This is what you get for voting for progressive socialists and Obama is just one of many... Hillary is another.

If you think the word "progressive" has anything to do with progress, think again.... it's another word for THIS. And THIS named after what this guy did.

Calling it "progressivism" was just a neat word trick that originated before the elections of 1912 when the US had three men running for president, a Progressive, a Progressive Democrat and a Progressive Republican.

If Fabian politics really worked the UK would be socialist by now, instead we have the cluster f**k of the conservatives and a right wing Labour party. I really wouldn't fear them - most of us on the left have given up on entryism!
