Where to find new avatar pics/images?

Hi, I was hoping you guys/gals could help me find some websites to browse fun, colorful, cartoonish (or not), kinda cutesy images to use for avatar pics, etc.

Cartoon characters, psychedelic images (color swirls or polka dots, etc.), cute animal pics, things along those lines

So tell me please, where do you find your avatar pics, images, etc.? Thanks, Greg

I type random names and ideas into Google Image search.

Then I find images I like, then I cut them down, past them, whatever. On more than one occasion I have cropped out a small bit of a whole image because I liked that bit.

MS paint (comes with windows) does a good job of minor resizing (20% up, 60% down) and is good enough for cutting out squares out of images.
