ok, what are some sites or movies that you think are nice enough to share with everyone?

http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php - a really interesting site that helps you imagine the ten dimensions, see if you don't get too confused! go to the menu on the left and watch the little movies about each dimension, in order. quite intriguing!

http://mono-1.com/monoface/main.html - ever wanted to make a photomontage of several parts of people's face? here's your chance! this is quite fun.

http://www.nobodyhere.com/justme/me.here - one of the most original, eerie and horribily addictive sites i have ever seen. it's almost like walking into a person's subconscious!... fantastic.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=nKq6_vjrxMo - a genius piece of math humour. geek alert!!

http://youtube.com/watch?v=BfX-s4dcYBg - something to think about. hilarious!

I can see it both ways. When I look at it I see her spinning clockwise. But if I focus on the text to the left and actually read the text and let my peripheral visoon catch the dancer she goes counter clockwise for some reason.

So I guess my conscentrative mind is right sided and my daydreaming distracted mind is left sided.

for people with a lot of time, patience and some computer skills:

http://www.deathball.net/notpron/

start the riddle. the object of the game is to move through each level to the last one - and there are a lot of them. a game where the important thing is not the destination, but the journey.

with the help of some hints (found on the official website) i am now at level 39

p.s.: it's really frustrating, you need nerves of steel to play it.

For me two of my favourite haunts are:

wikipedia and www.imdb.com

Wikipedia exists in all sorts of languages but the English language pages must be, by far, the most numerous...

Want to know about a porn star or about making lemon meringue pie or the tallest bridge in the world??? You name it, it's probably got its page on Wikipedia.

indeed, that's quite a comprehensive online encyclopedia. but beware! i think anyone can edit and alter the posts, so it's not always accurate despite the cerberial vigilance of the administrators.

also, i'd recommend http://www.deviantart.com (mentioned in another thread as well) for people with artistic preoccupations! some nice stuff to be found there.

Oh I know about wikipedia and it being edited by everyone and anyone, but I guess there's no more stuff that's untrue there than, say, on my president's site, if you see what I mean.... LOL. Promises, promises!!!???
