ss marriage new in Minnesota & RI

read in news.google.com today new; same sex marriage allowed in the states of Minnesota and Rhode Island.

Definitely good news. Having a Midwestern state vote in gay marriage is a pretty big step. Now if only Cali could get past its whole flip flop loop...

Not really. Minnesota is an extremely socially liberal state. It was a matter of time before we got gay marriage. We knew it was coming soon.

Actually, about half of the Midwest is Democrat country. Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Iowa are all liberal states, despite the fact that our rural areas are conservative. Missouri is not really a Midwestern state- It's almost a southern state. That leaves and Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Indiana as the conservative states of the Midwest. I stand corrected. In any case, may the tide continue. I guess my experience was clouded by time spent in Kansas.
