I'm really amazed at where my life is right now, and a little scared. I'm finished with school and looking for a job. I'm "growing up" and getting a REAL job that pays a decent amount of money. I'll be moving out soon and starting my life, and it's a big change.
I'm just curious as to what others experienced when you truly leave childhood behind and become the self reliant adult that you are now.

Hmmm..I "left" home when I want to varsity and that was my first experience of being truly independent. At first I couldn't bear just how much I missed my parents. As soon as I graduated from varsity,I never looked back. And finance-wise,it wasnt much of a change since I was in charge on my finances in varsity.

After Uni I had a degree in "Film Criticism" so I got a job at a video rental as manager. Did the store well but they didnt take care of me. Roomed with four other uni friends so none of us really grew up.
Wasnt until I moved to Japan that I learned about responsibilities and taking care of myself. It is hard growing out of ones youth and taking responsibilities especially when you dont have kids and such.
