I had a double stapled haemorrhoidectomy back in 2008, no guarantee the roids won't return, they more than likely will.

No need to make them recur any faster.

I don't have anal sex and I still have another roid, just something you have to learn to live with...it's a more common problem than you realise.

hemorrhoids.... tea from Field Horsetail ( lat. : Equisetum arvense ) 3 Tablespoons / 250 ml boiled water.... brew like tea, 15 minutes ... cool it back to roomtemperature and on a paper napkin... lay it on the hemorrhoids for 3x15 minutes a day....

Make sure you tell your doc you do anal sex before he operates on you.

Had surgery 1988, did not experience anal sex until 2001, had had no recurrence of problems.

thx for the responses. had the initial consult. Dr. not convinced its hemorrhoids. possibly warts! scheduled appt. for 2nd opinion from specialist. Good news--warts are easier to treat. Bad news--sexually transmitted.

just an update.
specialist agreed it's warts. (hpv infection)
had them surgically removed a few days ago.
seems anal sex in the future is possible--good news.
seems hpv virus should clear itself in a couple years--good news too I guess...

just not very happy to have an STD.
could be worse, I guess...

There are a large number of strains of identified HPV out there, most clear up on their own, some increase the risk of cancer slightly. As long as you aren't immune compromised, from HIV for example, the warts aren't dangerous.

The bad part is that HPV is difficult to prevent, condoms are not very effective at preventing HPV infection.
