Crackling Speakers
#1
Hokay, I have a question, but I'm putting it in fixes because it's a fix I'm looking for ...

Whilst I don't have this problem at the moment, there have been a number of times in the past that my really kick@ss set of PC speakers have given off what can only be described as a crackling sound ... I believe the correct reason for it is that dust has gotten into the mechanism of the speakers itself, and is interfering with the transmission of the sound through the apparatus ...

However I was wondering, just as an industry-standard ... does anybody know of a reasonably effective way of cleaning speakers ?

You'd take a mouse ball out and remove the crud from the rollers to improve its performance for example ... is that type of mentality ever applicable to speakers d'ya reck ? Or is it easier to just turf 'em and get a new set ??

Cheers !!
