Default Trump and Putin

Is their relationship a threat to gay people across the globe?

Putin yes in his own country and the country's he will probably soon control now his buddy's in charge of the USA , but I don't think Trump is a threat yet - Trump did say in his interview something along the lines of gay marriage has been sealed in law now by the supreme court and there's nothing he can do now ....but he looked pissed when he said it ....hes got bigger targets anyway

I have a feeling he's just full of hot air, well on some subjects anyway. Putin is to much of an influence on Trump which is my great worry.

I don't predict the relationship between Trump and Putin to be a friendly one. Trump thinks that because he is an egotistical idiot. But I think Putin sees him as a destabilizing force and his presidency as an opportunity to assert power.

I'm pretty sure Putin will be more concerned in regaining and expanding Russian influence in Syria, Ukraine and other places making the most of Trump's wild card nature to be bothering himself much about gays.

Putin will want favors done to make the relationship between the US and Russia "good"

However, I see with everything that is going on these days to be very unlikely, the Middle East, Baltic States, everything is a cluster fuck and if you ask me it's like walking into a room full of open gas cans with a lit match...

I really doubt it, from what he has said and been saying of late. He seems to be pretty fine with same sex marriage.
He even said he would appoint a supreme court justice that favors same sex marriage. What he is against completely is early abortion and possibly abortion entirely. We will see how things unravel. @kindy64 has posted from links and messages about trump not being totally against gays, check them out it might make you feel a little better.

@SilverBullet You do have to bear in mind Trump has said all kinds of things, he's a huge flip flopper and I wouldn't be surprised if he changes his tune out of the blue.

One of my friends and his partner was talking about moving to Panama...lol

considering the election is over I trust what he say's now more than I did. (and if i recall correctly he was ok with gay marriage BEFORE he won the election)
Although most candidates are flip floppers I am not going to jump up and down screaming burn the witch before his first day in office.

Your friend and his partner are crazy... when they can move to Canada lol! :D
bah, if everyone left who said they would our population would be in the negatives right now IE people leaving for one election then not, then claiming to leave again during next election.
Kinda like how Texas is gonna leave the union each time a dem takes office .

All im saying is, let the dust settle and get our bearings before we jump.
Calm, informed decisions are always better than hearsay and panic.

on a slightly more comical note
EVEN IF day 1 all branches of government decide to round up and execute gays, I think it would take months to pass.
By the time they all decided on HOW to do it, WHEN to do it, obtain the funding and select WHOME to do it, have a couple hundred recesses, a dozen or so vacations at least 1 good filibuster
it will take a few months and while its on the floor THEN we can move to Canada :P.

BURN IT! KILL IT WITH FIRE!!! :P

Anyway, they've been talking about Panama for some time... So they might actually do it. I have to admit it does look nice but I know less than nothing about Panama, only person that could shed any light on that subject would be @Shawn

@axle2152, Well if they had been thinking about moving here for a long time maybe their reasons are not just political.

Also Agree with this other dude, Canadá is nearest and also similar to the US.
Panamá is just too different...

But also I didn't understand how you were talking about Putin and Trump, and ended up talking about my country... again. but nevermind. :P

Putin did everything he could to get Donald Trump elected. I believe he feels that he can flatter and cajole Trump into an alliance,

Prominent Republicans have already begun to caution Trump.
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/1...o-putin-231423

The broader question is, would an alliance between the 2 be a threat to the US as a whole.
