I'm sure it is fine, I mean any digital multimeter will be fine for general use, unless you're working on something that requires precise measurements you'll be fine...

What things besides resistance and voltage are you needing to measure?

If you need to measure capacitance and inductance you'll need either a meter that measures those or get a separate meter that does only those...
