Hosting a GSA
My college had a student group similar to GSA, called SAGE, but the group was canceled a year ago due to inactivity and low student body count. Now I am Staff of this college and spend more time there and I know people are interested in the group, but I don't know what a GSA does.
I will start and manage the group, but I have no idea what the group is suppose to do. Any suggestions?
The ones at the universities I've attended have maintained libraries of pamphlets and books, usually a safe space for discussing, hosted coming out parties once a semestre, and organizing parties.
When a subject is highly controversial — and any question about sex is that — one cannot hope to tell the truth. One can only show how one came to hold whatever opinion one does hold. One can only give one's audience the chance of drawing their own conclusions as they observe the limitations, the prejudices, the idiosyncrasies of the speaker.
