Navel Piercing - Hot or Trashy?

For a couple of years, I've wanted to get a navel piercing but I'm not sure if it's considered ugly or trashy. I'm 5'5", very petite, thin, and have a nice stomach, so what is your general opinion on it? I don't want to make a stupid decision. Sure, I can always take it out, but it would be a waste of money if I did that.

I would probably wear a small jewel or something fancy because that's my taste. I'm femme anyway.

I've never seen navel piercings on anyone except female teenybopper types. Just my $0.02.

I believe navel piercings are girls' thing mostly. I've never seen a guy with a pierced navel.

Aside from not being aware that the 90's are back I miss the 90's.... No not really, it just sounds like I should I guess.... I fail to see the fascination with making permanent changes to the body especially when they can't be taken back... like stretching out the ear lobe holes, or tattoos...

I look at most stuff as being a 'great idea right now' but more often than not such stuff ends up being a not so great idea years or decades down the road.

Unlike mullets and feathered hair and bell bottom trousers, tats and piercings remain there always...

Looks like a lot of opinions are based on whether or not it's "feminine" and I don't care about that. But yeah, I don't want to put a hole in my body and regret it. Thanks for your honesty.

If you have a nice stomach, that you'd be happy to display, then display proudly, but don't mess it up with a piercing.
