Consider it a safe zone for a few hundred species of animals . The park is involved in conservation efforts.. Remember what Yellowstone did for the wolf population after they were almost hunted to extinction...? They restored a healthy population and released the majority back into the wild. . It's not a "park setting" as you'd think..

Bear meat is a bit to greasy for my taste!!! (smile).
I lived in upper Vermont when I first retired, and there were plenty bears around. I remember one particular day when I was walking my dogs in the woods,, and smelt something really nasty,,, I knew a bear was near (they stink) and so did my dogs. We all turned around and headed back to the house. I''ll never forget how my dogs acted very guarded and cautious that day. We Have Elvis !!
