This song was at #6 on the week of January 11, 1986

Had a look through the top 40 best sellers of 1986 and picked one I like

Same song, same group, different videos, different years.

LOL

Sweet Sensation (Betty - lead singer, and Margie & Mari) released their debut song, "Hooked On You" in 1986.  This is what the video looked like, and the song reached #64 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Not long after, Mari left the group, and was replaced by Sheila.  Future releases became increasingly successful.  In 1989 their song "Sincerely Yours" crossed over big time, and got to #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Sweet Sensation had no new music at that time, so their record company gave "Hooked On You" a little remix, shot a new video, and rereleased it, and this time (in 1989) it got to #23 on the Billboard Hot 100.
