The German word "eifersüchtig" actually means "jealous" but because I like how it sounds I've told my German speaking friends that I use it to mean "great", "superb", "splendid".... The word must sound completely out of context, the way I use it... so we can change the meaning of words. The only thing is it's like a code and I make sure my German-speaking friends know what meaning I give that word and why I use it that way. It's a bit like using the word "wicked" to mean something great. I find ''toll'' just too trite.
