I swear xmas heard me complaining about summer so it decided to go above the summer average, up to a disgusting 28°C, which inside my roon was 31°C according to my trusty mercury thermometer.

I think your complaining reached over here, it was 28°C here today when it's usually around 12°C. This is as close as we'll get to Christmas in July.
