I think a lot of that just has to do with how dense your body is... skinny/muscular people have a harder time staying afloat... fatter people like myself can float easier...although if I lose all this weight I keep talking about then that might not be the case... One thing is for sure though you can burn a lot more calories swimming than biking or running... Definitely will work you a lot harder than anything else...
