I agree with Cridders (a winter without snow is pointless) im old enough to remember snow pretty much every winter.....now its just wind,rain, grey skys, and mud when dog walking, this is what winter has become for the last 10 years - if we get snow that lasts more than a few days its a miracle ...

TBH - UK summers are pretty rubbish too - you cannot guarantee any sunshine anymore during the peak season - I go to festivals in june, july and august and I remember only one without torrential rain in that 4 years

Oh, Summers aren't great either I agree, but at least you do get some sunshine and heat sometimes, far more sunshine than in Winter at least. And the longer days are always good. Snow hasn't really occured here at all since 2010. Summers, though often wet, have still delivered more for me than any of these recent crappy Winters have . You indeed can't guarantee dry weather and warmth in Summer, but at least there is some! Lol.
