pretty much the only thing that is localized in the brain is language (Broca's area, left hemisphere) and even that isn't solely localized to the Broca's area or the left hemisphere and in some people is reversed (in 5% of the people Broca's area is in the right hemisphere).
Indeed. Different parts of the brain contribute towards different functions irrespective of hemisphere.
