Well that is yet another shite thing. If a holiday like that falls on a weekend here you will get a holiday in leiu.
As Xmas Day is on a sunday, Boxing Day AND tuesday (in leiu of xmas day) will be bank holidays. The same will occur with an extra bank holiday on 2nd January in leiu of New Years Day.

Of course, I work in retail so it doesn't mean a damn thing anyway. So sucks to be me too
