Sounds like you got something out of this incident as well. Just be careful you don't become an adrenaline junkie now, start base jumping and stuff.
I dunno man I think you ought to at least find out why. Perhaps they thought you were in hospital and uncontactable. Or maybe they just felt super awkward and freaked about the whole situation, not knowing how to respond.
Either way it'll just stick in your craw until you get an explanation.
