bought a banjo = who know why but i got a new instrument to learn .... its the anniversary of my mates passing this week so maybe ill write him a song

I played the banjo for a while when I was 16. We had one at home and I just played Irish trad melodies on it. I found the strings a bit too taut on it, though. I didn't really progress beyond melodies, though. Anyway, I think the thing broke in the end.
