Well, my life has been a bit of a saga lately!
After chatting with my wife a couple of weeks ago, it looked like our relationship was over. But we wanted to beat those odds that are against us and stay as a couple.
A couple of nights ago over a few drinks we chatted and reappraised the situation- its probably not cute having a queer husband! She feels awkward, will most likely always do, always worry that I will stray. I will have used so much energy coming out only for things ti stay the same. We both agreed that it isn't possible, it can't work long term and is unfair on us both.
So with some rearranging I will get my own room but stay with my family that I love dearly.
My thoughts are with my wife as she is seeing her parents tonight, to tell them that her partner of 10 years, husband of six, father of her two children is bent! I really don't know how that will go. But, i think it will be the first step of the acceptance stage. Where we can look to build a new relationship as we mive forward.
Stepping into the unknown...big step!
