Angry on my daughter's behalf that her line manager is today threatening to withdraw home working "privileges" (in contrast to UK government emergency guidance) because of the company's poor management and a culture of passing blame down the line. Even angrier that my son was "let go" (I think that's the euphemism) at the beginning of February by his small London-based company and that he and his family have been left without any means of support to fend for themselves in the USA where he was sent to expand the business. Every day I hope that none of them need medical help. He can't find anyone willing to sponsor him into a job and doesn't have the means to return to the UK nor anywhere to live if we can even get them back here at the moment. Talk about Catch 22. Business is brutal.
