lol @InbetweenDreams you don't seem like an asshole to me. what I discovered for my area is that scruff is used for dating/chat/friendships and grindr is for hookups, I should take a screen shot of the last time I opened grindr and forgot my location was on, one message was just "suck my dick" 
no hello or how are you and most of the grindr profiles are blank, it feels like I stumbled into a back alley 
. Â Â but scruff has guys that made actual profiles, I've had some good conversations on there but I'm still afraid of putting a pic on my profile, I still have some confidence issues.
