It depends on how you feel, really.  If you only want to reply to the most recent, like a conversation, you can.  However, you are not restricted by that.  Say, @Cridders88 posted a gif that you think you have a great response to, but there are already 3 more replies, you can still reply to Crid's post, if you choose.
