I got COVID for my birthday (last week) and it was my boyfriend who gave it to me. So I spent from 8/2 to 8/11 quarantining with him. Already miss him lol.

So not a bad birthday after all then?

Thanks and it was a good birthday, it wasn't the one we were planning on but I was very happy that I was able to stay with him and not spread it to my parents who are still not vaccinated. I did feel pretty crappy for a few days but it became an annoyance because I kept testing positive. He had a trip coming up and he was negative and worried his trip might be impacted and so on. I tested negative just in time to get back home. Just playing it a little safer for a few days.

But yes, my boyfriend is well, the reason for my hiatus. Everything is fine, just been spending a ton of time with him and work. I am madly, madly in love with this guy. I definitely have more to say about him once I have a bit more time.

Glad to hear things are working out for you and him Mike . Sounds like you are very happy, you deserve it! I did wonder why I'd not seen your name pop up so much recently.

We're doing good, melting in this uncharacteristically long UK hot spell, and unfortunately sunburnt from swimming in the sea last weekend. Think we will be staying indoors this weekend haha.
