The Blue Mountains are part of what is called the Great Dividing Range which is 3500km long stretching from North to South and contains the highest mountain in Australia, Mount Kosciuszko at 2230m. The Great Dividing Range seperates the Coast from the inland (Essential the Desert). Mum lives at the foot of the Ranges about 100km inland and just over 400km south of Sydney.
I live At the foot of the Ranges which are a lot closer to the coast, about 970km North of Sydney.
