Back when Romney was with Bain he orchestrated them getting bailed out by the government as well. But since Clear Channels (Rush, Hannity, Glenn Beck, etc) are owned by Bain (who at least don't want it known they owe their existence to the government & taxpayers even if they don't care about Romney anymore) I'm not surprised this isn't passed on to conservative audiences.
That said, I find much of what the government subsidizes unconscionable so I have mixed feelings about not paying the IRS. Of course I do wish that people who need their money a hell a lot more than Romney were just as able as Romney to find and exploit all of those tax loopholes (what is is, 40, 23 of them legal?) as well. And more importantly, anyone who collects any form of public wealthfare (which Romney has done in both business and politics) should definitely pay his fair share, but laws have always been about the protection of the elite and the burden of the poor.
