but Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian come from the same Uralic linguistic family...it's just I've heard some Hungarians saying it's not related...I wondered if that's just nationalism speaking or there is some truth to it...you know, like the controversial Altaic group trying to link Turkish to Japanese..

Finnish, Estonian and Hungarian are all part of Finno-Ugric language family, they are the three most spoken ones, and yes, Hungarian is related to Finnish.
