Trolls = Assholes
Trolls like to get a reaction from other people and say a lot of shit that might stir up people on purpose. They remind me of vampires...if they can get your blood pumping they start to drink....except they drain your energy instead of your blood and feed on chaos.
I pretty much ignore them but it doesn't matter because people quote them over and over. A lot of people enjoy the trolls and think it is amusing. I am not one of the people who enjoy them.
They can bring down a site over time...seen it happen many times.
The very recent "How to break up with my long time partner without hurting him?" post sounded like a classic troll post to me. Throwing out a somewhat believable scenario question that would get lots of members interested and concerned, and responding with advice and condemnation. Then responding back, to keep the responses going. All for the amusement of the troll. How would this site (which is so courteous to everyone) know that this was a troll post, and deal with the troll? After a while, I really did not believe the OP.
